What You’ll Need

  • Hard Boiled Eggs
  • White Vinegar
  • Food Coloring
  • Matte Mod Podge
  • Festive Napkins
  • Small Paint Brush

Directions

Dyeing Your Eggs (Optional)

  1. In a mug or bowl, mix 1/2 cup of boiling water, 1 TSP of vinegar, and 10-20 drops of food coloring depending on your desired color. Repeat for each color.
  2. Place your hard-boiled eggs into the dye for approximately 5 minutes, or until your desired color is reached.
  3. Using a slotted spoon, wire egg holder, or tongs, remove the eggs from the die and place them on a drying rack or an upside-down egg carton to dry.

Easter Decoupage Eggs

  1. Separate the layers of napkin, so it is only one printed layer.
  2. Cut out the pattern and pieces you want to add to the eggs.
  3. Apply a thin layer of Mod Podge on the egg, slightly larger than the cut pieces, and gently put the pieces of napkin on top.
  4. Let it dry for a few seconds and then add a second layer of Mod Podge over top, making sure to fully cover the edges of the napkin pieces.
  5. Let the egg fully dry for 10-15 minutes.
